help saltwater aquarium!?
I recently bought a 30gal tank to start a saltwater aquarium with my younger siblings. I made a lot research on saltwater aquariums but I was wondering if you could tell me the price and tell me if or not I have everything I need to get started? my aquarium salt water tank 30gal test furnace filter £ 30 £ 30 live bands live rock sand thermometer Protien skimmer (not sure if you need this item? What should I do?) Air stones also what kind of lighting i need?? thank you very much !!!!!!!! oh yeah and mix the sea salt. I have a lot of freshwater fish expireince but want to upgrade to saltwater.
There are many different ways to install a SW tank. Will it be a fish only with live rock? or a reef aquarium? a protein skimmer is not 100% necessary, but does its job of maintaining a healthy tank much easier, and which I recommend. I do not waste your money on 'live' sand because it is not about to die of it being on the shelf for so long there is a lot to live bodies left. it's much cheaper just to live his rock turn your live sand in a few months. do not use air stones in a SW tank instead use chainsaws. you def. need a hydrometer to check specific gravity (refractometer would be more accurate but more expensive) lighting only Whether you have a reef aquarium fish reef can only be any lighting needs from 3 to 7 watts per gallon (depending on the type of coral that have) I personally do not use a live rock filter and only a skimmer.
