Quastion about RO / DI units?
I have a 5 stage RO / DI unit with a TDS meter and wondered if the TDS meter detects chlorine. If not, then if the TDS meter reads 5 ppm, then it is often the effect aquariums or marine chlorine?
The TDS is the total dissolved solids, so no no detect chlorine. 5 ppm of TDS is nothing wrong. But no, no means no chlorine. Carbon filters are those that remove chlorine. They are classified for disposal bleach per gallon. typically around 10, 000 gallons of water. If you have a drive that is used and is sure it would be safer to change only the filters. 5 ppm tds usually means it's time to change filters before anyway. They are not expensive.
