I can keep 5 neon tetra (fish) in a 1 gallon tank?

I found a cheap one gallon tank and I want to put neon tetras and a 5-6 catfish in the country. tetras are small fish but live in a small tank like that? the box says the tank is good for: guppies, tetras, danios, betas, and Corydoras catfish. I also want to put a plant or two there. Thank you. oh ya, the tank has an air pump and light and has a filter that is what it says on page web: Hooded Light Fixture (7 watt bulb included) Easy Replacement Lamp (Replace W / Standard 7 watt bulb in miniature); Aquarium air pump (Pump included will be of equal power, but may vary from example shown), undergravel filtering system (filter plate, pipe, air Pipeline W / Stone diffuser)

No, you can not. Both tetras and cory catfish require at least 10 gallons. The reason you can not keep the neon tetras anything but 10 gallon because they are very fast and active swimmers – which means they need more space for swimming – and because they need to live in a school, ie 5 or 6, which means it has to be more space for that number of fish as well. general rule is "one inch of fish for" a gallon, and we in this case are much overcapacity. Corien also need more space than that because not only become larger than one inch, but it is also necessary to live in a school as well. If you put a neon tetra 1 cory cat in there, they are stressed (due to no school and limited places) and more prone to disease and death, if you put a school of them in there, they will still be stressed and get sick and die, probably due to the quarter very tight, and due to the biological load and the residual effect which is 6 times too much for a tank that size. There is no winning solution there. I agree that the best option is for you to get a tank bigger – and just keep this one as a hospital or quarantine tank (or fry tank) and put the fish in at least one gallon of 10. But if they will not listen that advice, I will point out that there is little that can live and survive in a one gallon tank. In addition to snails or shrimp, the only viable option is a betta. Although some people say that 1 gallon is too small for a betta, and I basically agree, I would rather see you put a betta there, is much more likely to be the content and prosper in a gallon, Corian or neons or guppies.

Permeable Flexible Air Stones are a great way to aerate your growing system. The flexible stones bend into any shape you need to deliver air where you need it most, they also create less back pressure than traditional air stones, which reduces damage to your pump….
