What type of filter box do you recommend for my 78 gallon aquarium?
Current Sox are 1 Albino Tiger Oscar (about 11 inches) 1 Jack Dempsey (About 7 inches) a Jaguar cichlid (about 4 inches, but he will be out of the tank as soon as my friend tank is ready) and anyway I have a Penguin Bio Wheel 350 and am looking for a better filter and want to add a filter cartridge as it will add an Oscar lutino I am saying in a separate tank. So basically the average is 2 Oscar and Jack Dempsey. No need to hear people talk about size, since these fish (2 and 1 oscar female jd) can indeed live in a 78, so do not waste time talking about tank size. If you can provide a link that will be incredible, if not well just give me the name of cartridge filter. Thanks in advance.
I recently bought two of Marineland C360. They are great boats rated for about 100 gallons. I have two running on my 125, but I like a bit of excess filtration. These containers have a great amount of bio-media and flossing, and are very powerful. There is also virtually any deviation in the containers, ie all the water entering must pass through each tray media before being pumped out – it is not a common feature in drums. I am very happy with them. They are a bit expensive but worth the money IMO. Also I have three cartridge filters of the cascade. While not as high quality as the C360, the filters that are good and are very reasonable when it comes to prices. Although it probably will not have to buy another, I'm happy with these filters too.
