What do I need to start my 90 gallon aquarium?
I recently bought a water conditioning agent for multiple uses and to eliminate clhronie improve the slime layer. Agent ASA and bio conditioner with these bacteria, and prevention from ammonia and nitrates. Also, what should i buy test kits? I know I have to buy a pH test kit, what happens to the ammonia, nitrates and carbon? please any suggestions and opinions will welcome.
Believe it or not you do not have to test the HP. In fact, you are best off not worrying about it at all because it's really not recommended that you adjust – Easy adjustment can lead to instability. Do not get me wrong, your friendly local pet store certainly wants you to buy everything and get their employees to believe a load of nonsense. Our fish have been bred in captivity and a high tolerance for PH – the only important factor is stability. Tap water is not too acid or base for fish because it would ruin the pipes – it's just for our fish almost every time. I bet a million points your fish store uses the same barrel water to do if they are local. Except for the air conditioner to combat metals, try not to complicate things by dumping chemicals into the tank. All we ask is fish clean water and a good healthy diet to live for years – this theory has helped to keep my fish aquariums and long life and trouble free for many years. Even the use of carbon in the filters – just a sponge. To maintain effective carbon almost has to change with each change of water, and for the most part there is not much to do to make the first place (besides that it can not distinguish and do not use good elements in the water) Let's break the conditioning agent Miracle: You do not need anything to deal with ammonia, as it should let the tank cycle – a cycle tank takes care of its own ammonia. You do not need anything to deal with nitrates, because you must make changes of water each week to keep the tank healthy and can be removed that way. These products do not remove nitrates, which just changed them. So all that remains are bacteria and bacteria in a bottle has a history of being very inefficient – I will not say anything about this product because I have never used – just do not expect much more. If you really want the tank cycle faster, and I mean instantly procure an established tank filter (a friend or fish stock) and put it on your own filter. There you go, healthy bacteria and a tank of a cycle. How to load a lot of fish that can withstand depends on how much you have and how full the tank was coming, but This is undoubtedly the fastest way to do things. Nevertheless, an ammonia teset the only real need, while you set up your tank. If you can not plant tank and passed through a full course, you also want to nitrite. Nitrate is not a necessity, but the proof of regularity that is a great way to keep tabs on the condition water and how water changes are kept current. From my experience of a well establish and maintain the tank with moderate load, it can contain less than 15 nitrates changes weekly partial water. There are ways to make maintenance easy, but that is another issue. Good luck, that's a tank of Nice – I can use my 90 for "high" ph my Malawi cichlids. (All my fish, including "soft" or "low pH of fish, living in the same pH 8 water, and all make great and long life not suggest things without experience first)
