Community helps to tank (w / a male betta fish)?
ok I have a 20 gallon tank and instant messaging in the process of creation. now I have gravel in it, and deco woodlike big with big holes, and a pirate lol. Oh and I have a filter and heater. I willl buy plants soon. So yeah what types of fish can be added at the aquarium that are safe for bettas? the guy from the pet store showed small fishes. I wondered if they are large (average) fish that are compatible with them? also, the addition of a snail wud be a good idea? thanks! sand is better than gravel?
No snails, which multiply quickly and it gets ugly. Think your tank in layers. There are bottom feeders such as fish timid swimmers half as neon, and swimmers of the stature of danios and beta. Each level of the fish will need places to hide to feel safe. The safer you feel more a fish out of its hiding place so be sure have a lot of things in the tank. Because your tank is smaller than otherwise would not really then tetra fish and what I have mentioned here. Make sure you have places to hide beta and swim to the plants that are high are the best resource for this, and be sure to feed your fish no less than three days, for other fish do not attack the beta.
