Quick aquarium filter question?
I wonder if the bio wheel filtration system phase 3 that comes with the eclipse 6 gallon tank is good at his job. This is a high quality filter? or I want to buy a new one because you do not clean? Here's the thing with Eclipse systems, can not update the filter because it fits the shape of the tank. There is no place to add additional filter and the filter is built in. I have a betta in my 6 gallon and have never had a problem. I have to say that I do not think it would be a problem as long as you do weekly water changes of 30-50% and do not overfeed. In addition, you may want to read about the cycle if you are starting a new tank. Since you have a small tank is not much room for maneuver levels of ammonia, so be sure to be prepared for frequent water changes and lots of tests unless you go with a cycle without fish. A fishless cycle is best to fish, but the disadvantage is that you get to see fish in the tank for weeks.
