Gravel Siphon
Gravel Siphon

Am I harming my aquarium?
I siphon my tank 80 liters of gravel 1-2 times a week, when I do this I draw a quarter of the water. I can replace chlorinated water-water and foam filters have two one for a 100 gallon tank and the other 80. The tank has been established for 8 months with no deaths. 0 ammonia, nitrate 0, 10 nitrite. I have four three-spot gouramis, a catfish fin feather, shrimp 2, and 12 tetras in the tank well planted. Everything that is healthy that I can see, but I'm curious if I'm "cleaning" my tank.
Sounds good to me. I assume you meant 0 nitrite and nitrate in October though. These are the ideal levels. And change is fine for 25% of the water twice a week. Since you are breaking in two, do not change too much water at once. I think he's doing a splendid job.
