The Nova is a great light. It is sufficient for most large polyp corals (LPS), but not for most small polyp corals. Most perishable items will well too. Many of the corals and anemones high light did not thrive under those lights and require a high-watt halide. Some deepwater SPS would be nice. The Nova is perfect for corals Euphyllia (grapes, frogspawn, hammer), the majority of brain coral, elegance coral, bubble coral, skins, gorgonians, the mushrooms, zoos, some stony corals, etc, but not enough for most Acropora SPS or similar. Same as above on corals that do well going to the covenants. I personally I prefer the T5S T5S run and only moderate / low light tanks Halides and in my high light tanks. I use a compact in my freshwater planted tank. Present and the U.S. (That make Nova) makes a great light and are a wonderful company. They stand behind their product and if you have a problem with it please contact them directly and that will solve the problem in most cases.
