aquarium lighting question?

before i purchase any anemones or coral, i know you have to have very strong lighting, but when i purchased my aquarium from craigslist i realized, my lighting had zoo med reptisun 5.0 uvb bulb… and its really bright and gives off some heat, would this be equivalent to a coral life 10,000k 24 watt bulb? my repitsun has 17 watts and i have a second lighting system in the back that as well gives 17 watts. so would i have enough lighting to keep anemones and or corals?
my tank size is 29 gallons, so its 18 inches high

No, that wouldn’t be sufficient, even for the less light-demanding corals. And a UVB bulb would like do more harm than good.

How much you need depends on the specific colony’s you plan on keeping. Not all corals and anemones require the same light input. You need to figure out your tank’s complete stocking list and before you can figure out the equipment you need.
