what sort of background do you use for your aquarium or do you use none?
ive had a cheesy background on mine for a couple years and ive finally decided that its not foolin me or the fish and DOESNTlook good you really cant even see it because of the way the glass mirrors so it just looks dark and drab. what other options do i have, could i paint the back with just regualar latex paint? creative ideas for a non ceesy backdrop in my aquarium would be appreciate.
Personally, I just use black or blue backgrounds on all my unpainted tanks. I usually spray paint them black on the bottom and back when I get them. On the outside of course. So yes, feel free to paint at will on the outside of a tank with latex paints.
Not too creative I know, but the fish usually stand out well against the black back of the tank and I paint the bottom in case I use the tank without a substrate, such as for a breeding tank or fry tank.
